MILPA

Milpa presents guests with a menu created from traditional Mexican recipes but made with local plant-based ingredients. To complement the cuisine we propose a Space for guests that is inspired by traditional Mexican elements and geometry but made using local materials.

This reinterpretation, paired with a restrained material pallet, will inform a conceptual approach that has a familiar, but new take on a traditional typology. We took inspiration from traditional arches and barrel vault ceiling typologies. The material palette will reference bright colors often found in Mexican architecture and culture while aligning with our budget.
